The Jewish National Fund hosted its Sarasota Guardian of Israel Award Dinner on Thursday, March 17, at Michael's On East. Marilyn Shuman was honored with the Guardian of Israel and Lifetime Achievement Award and Dr. Joshua Green was honored with the Doctors for Israel Award.

Hand sculpted roses crafted from Kassam rockets that have been fired into Southern Israel by Gaza terrorists were used as centerpieces at the event. The art symbolizes the perseverance of the people of Israel.
