It was hot summer morning, but that didn’t stop the tennis games.

The campers participating in Longboat Key Club’s tennis and sports camps kept busy playing different tennis games and drills while learning the basic skills of the sport. The camp runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is open to guests and members of Longboat Key Club. There are full-day and half-day options available. Half- day campers will stay until 12 p.m.

Junior Tennis Camp is for those between the ages of 8 and 17, while Summer Sports Camp is open to those between 4 and 13.  The tennis camp focuses on stroke production and mechanics of the game. The sports camp splits the day up between tennis, soccer, kickball, golf, and swimming. For more information call 387-1662.
