AJC West Coast Florida hosted its July “Lunch and Learn” event on Tuesday, July 19 at Michael’s On East. Attendees enjoyed a Greek salad, miso-glazed salmon and chocolate mousse cake for dessert. The event was sponsored by Williams Parker, and J. Michael Hartenstine of the law firm introduced keynote speaker Aaron Jacob. Jacob, pulling from his extensive foreign affairs background including his time as Israel’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, spoke about U.S.-Israel Relations. The next installment in the AJC Lunch and Learn series will take place on Tuesday, August 16, and will feature Andy Baker.

Virag said the event attracted 200 people, making it the organization’s largest Lunch and Learn event to date.

Brian Lipton explains AJC’s mission to fight anti-Semitism. According to Lipton, the recent AJC Global Forum attracted 168 people from Sarasota, making the group the third largest delegation.
