Seeing snow in Florida is a rare sight, but students at the Tabernacle Christian School got the chance to play in it Friday, Jan. 29.

Per annual tradition, the school held a snow day — complete with real, albeit man-made, snow. Students from each grade got to spend a half hour outside playing in a snow pile and inner tubing down a snowy slope in the school's front yard.

Middle school students involved in student government volunteered to help kids go down the slope and served snacks.

"We really push that if you're in government, you're serving," said preschool teacher Dixie Sounders.
