Tucked away just a few blocks from the massive midway downtown, a smaller celebration was taking place on New Year's Eve.

Community radio station WSLR rang in the new year at Fogartyville with a potluck dinner and concert featuring the reggae fusion of Treedomm and the traditional folk of Washbaer.

The event featured a community meal, dancing, drinks, a station for making festive hats. The WSLR Kumquat presided over the party, waiting to drop at the stroke of midnight.
