Longboat Key Garden Club Home Tour: Hanna Home

From Longbeach Village to Bay Isles, the Longboat Key Garden Club’s 40th annual Home and Garden Tour will feature six picturesque homes from around the Key, each unique in style and architecture. Take a peek inside the homes to be featured on the tour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 5.

 

Hanna Home

749 Hideaway Bay

With views of the bay in nearly every room and an interior designed to mimic the effects of waves, it’s impossible to forget where you are in the home of Robert and Terri Hanna.

“When we bought this lot, we wanted the theme of water,” Terri Hanna said.

The house features shades of blue throughout its interior and artifacts from the couple’s worldwide travels. There are also original oils by members of Robert Hanna’s family throughout the three-bedroom, 4,970-square-foot home, in addition to a 1927 George Steck piano in the living room.

When entering the home, there is a two-story living room with views of the water from a wall of glass windows, which slide open to unite the indoor and outdoor areas.

The backyard of the home features a pool, dock and patio space.

“When you have a home that you can boat up to, sometimes it’s hard to say which is the front of the home and which is the back,” Terri Hanna said. “We’re proud of both.”
