GreyHawk Landing residents took a walk on the wilder side of their community Saturday, Feb. 20.

The events committee hosted the annual walk, sponsored by Aquagenics, which manages GreyHawk’s aquatic systems.

Two Aquagenics representatives, Shaun Bless of West Palm Beach and John Maeneill of Sarasota, and Ernesto Lasso De La Vega with the Lee County Hyacinth Control District, lead the walk for about 30 people.

“We’ll talk about snakes and butterflies, and how we live in conjunction with wildlife,” Lasso De La Vega said. “The design of this community is very toward that idea. Every street either has a pond or a preserve.”
