Historic Spanish Point sets the scene for artists

Plein Air Painters of the Suncoast host day two of Paint Sarasota Paint Out at Historic Spanish Point.

Using pastels, acrylic, watercolors and pencils the Plein Air artists of Light Chasers re-created the scenic Historic Spanish Point Friday. 

The outing is part of the Paint Sarasota Paint Out event going on through Wed. Feb. 24 at various locations around town. The event began Wed. Feb. 17 at Phillippi Estate Park. At the end of the week-long event all works will be for sale with artists receiving 70% of the sale and 30% of the sale benefitting the restoration of the Keith Farmhouse at Phillippi Estate Park.

Sunday, Feb. 21 at Casperson Beach and DowntownVenice
Monday, Feb.  22 at Marie Selby and Siesta Key Beaches
Tuesday, Feb. 23 at Myakka State Park
Wednesday, Feb. 24 at Ringling Museum Grounds
