These boots were made for dancin’!

Freedom Elementary School’s PTO hosted a country western themed father daughter dance Friday, Feb. 19.

PTO president Shelley Merritt said she got the inspiration for a western theme when her daughter wore a dress with a red paisley pattern.

“I thought that would be cute for a daddy daughter dance,” she said.

Some fully embraced the theme — Andrew Voshell brought his lasso and his daughter Ashley wore overalls. Others paired a dress or a suit with a hat or boots.
