The CineBistro at Westfield Southgate opened its doors and welcomed the public for an exclusive look at the completed theater Thursday night for the VIP Grand Opening.

The opening had all the glamour of an old Hollywood premiere complete with stars Marilyn Monroe, James Dean and Audrey Hepburn in their most famous roles. The swanky lobby and bar was filled with guests eager to see what the long-awaited CineBistro has to offer Sarasota audiences.

Among the amenities is a restaurant to see more than 100 with both indoor and outdoor seating along with a full bar and lounge. Seven screens with that seat 74 to 98 guests comfortably with leather, reclining seats.

At the end of the evening guests were given an exclusive showing of Zoolander 2  on all seven screens. The official opening for the public is Friday, Feb. 12 but tickets have already been on sale since Tuesday.

Films scheduled for showings this weekend are Deadpool, How to be Single, Zoolander 2, Hail,Caesar!  and Brooklyn.
