This year the 100+ Club at Pines of Sarasota welcomed four new members.
Residents Edith Laws, Eleanor Landow, Thelma Cohn and Thelma McKahan were inducted into the club which celebrates centenarians at Pines of Sarasota.
To celebrate the occasion they toasted with a high tea Friday afternoon. Eight of the total 11 members were able to attend the event at Pines of Sarasota where the birthday girls all donned confetti tiaras so they could be easily recognized by party goers.

Even the youngest members at Pines of Sarasota, the children in the on-campus daycare made sure to wish happy birthday to the ladies they call their “grandma’s.” New resident and recent centenarian Eleanor Landow was thrilled to receive a birthday card from the children in the on-campus daycare center. They reminded her of her 11 great grandchildren.
“Aren’t they sweet?” Landow said. “I’m so surprised. For turning 100, I feel like I’m just like every other person, nothing special.”
