Attendees of the 2nd Annual Dinner and Movie got to have an old-fashioned drive-in movie soiree.
The Longboat Key Garden Club and Kiwanis Club organized the event held Saturday, April 30 at the Longboat Key Club, which featured a catered dinner along with all the classic cinema snacks, like popcorn and candy. The featured film was Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, but attendees road in on golf carts rather than horses. Paired with the Western film, the clubs held a horseshoe pitching contest.
Funds raised from the event will go toward the clubs’ scholarships and grants.
