For one last time Sen. Nancy Detert joined the panel of state representatives for the Tiger Bay Legislative Update Wednesday afternoon at Michael's On East.Â
Detert will leaving her position in Tallahassee to run for the Sarasota County Commission position in District 3. Detert was joined on the panel of speakers by Rep. Jim Boyd, Rep. Julio Gonzalez, Rep. Darryl Rouson, Rep. Ray Pilon and Rep. Greg Steube.Â
Among the assignments keeping state legislatures busy this season were passing 272 bills through the house and senate as well as approving a $82 billion budget.Â
