Things got a little swampy in Lakewood Ranch High School's auditorium this weekend.
The Mustang Players performed Shrek the Musical, Jr., an on-stage musical adaptation of the DreamWorks animated movie. The play, directed by Roxane Caravan, required extensive makeup for some of the students. Jackson Helwege, who played Shrek, spent about 30 to 45 minutes in makeup to achieve the look of an ogre.
