Longboat Key and Sarasota art lovers descended on the Longboat Key Center for the Arts on Friday night for the opening reception of SARTQ's "Key Influence" exhibit. Featuring 12 artists from the local artist collective SARTQ, the exhibit featured a diverse array of works that were based on the artists' two month residence at the art center during the summer. Visual art fanatics enjoyed large paintings, woodwork, statues, photographs, expressive charcoal portraits, watercolor mermaids, an immersive cloud fixture and a forest of cocoons and butterflies.Â
