“We wanted to do an in-store event with Designing Daughters. It’s a great organization, and we love supporting it.” — The Met owner Brenda Michel

Designing Daughters of Sarasota enjoyed an evening of Bourbon & Beauty at The Met on Oct. 1.

Guests enjoyed a tie-tying tutorial for men, a mixologist, makeup and braiding lessons and a DJ.

Proceeds and 20% of The Met’s sales from the event went toward Designing Daughters’ various charities.

“When The Met approached me about doing an event with Designing Daughters, as a founder, I was thrilled,” Designing Daughters founder Shelley Lister said. “We all love the Met.”
