McNeal Elementary PTO hosts fall festival

The proceeds raise money for classrooms.

Parents and students enjoyed fall festival together while helping raise money for classroom needs.

The Gilbert W. McNeal Elementary Parent Teacher Organization organized the fall fest, held Saturday, Nov. 14. The organization partnered with the school's business sponsors for prizes and give aways. Attendees played games, got face paintings and bid on silent auction baskets.

 

Doug Kovatch, a parent, volunteered to help Kristi Dyer, third-grade teacher, make the cotton candy. Kovatch said he used to work at a baseball stadium, so he was familiar with the proper cotton-candy-making technique.
