Tara Elementary School held its first program for Veteran's Day.

The Tara Elementary School cafeteria was painted red, white and blue for the school's first patriotic program.
Parents and family came to watch fourth-grade students talk about patriotism and sing songs about America. The school also gathered a list of family member who are members of the military or veterans and created a powerpoint to honor their service.
It was the first year for the program, directed by music teacher Barbara Siffermann, who has been at Tara for two years.
"I think it will become a tradition," she said.
