Stand your lawn?

12:58 p.m. — 500 block of Lyons Lane. Public Service. A man said someone drove a motorcycle across his crushed shell lawn. The man told police, “I will shoot the (expletive) if they do this again,” pointing to his next-door neighbor. Police told him he could not use deadly force in this situation.

Someone was hungry
2:34 p.m. — 700 block of Bayport Way. Fraud. A woman’s bank called her about two charges totaling $5,039.50 made using a mobile device at a grocery store. The store’s manager was unaware of any transactions of that size and agreed to check the store’s records.

Dog on the run
4:48 p.m. — 700 block of Norton Street. Public Service. An unleashed bulldog jumped on a leashed dog taking a walk with a man and woman. The woman said the bulldog ran toward her, and her husband pulled her into a garage. The bulldog’s owner said her dog was startled by the loud noise from speedboats in the bay and ran out the front door, then playfully jumped on the couple’s dog. The bulldog’s owner received a warning about her unleashed dog.

Camp caper
5:30 p.m. — 4200 block of GMD. Suspicious Circumstance. An anonymous caller reported a camping violation in a church parking lot. Police found an RV at the scene but were unable to verify its owners. The vehicle did not appear to be in violation of town ordinances.

1:30 p.m. — 500 block of Juan Anasco Drive. Found Dog. A caller reported a large brown-and-white dog on the loose. Police found a man at the scene who said his dog had escaped. Police found the dog within minutes.

Jan. 3
Window watcher

8:54 a.m. — 500 block of Lyons Lane. Suspicious Circumstance. A man discovered his window screen was bent. Police found no evidence anyone had been near the window.

10:57 p.m. — 2700 block of GMD. Suspicious Person. A man noticed a suspicious man on the beach from his fourth-floor balcony. The suspicious man was shirtless and stood still with his arms stretched upward and seemed to sway, then he stood in the shadows under palm trees.

Party crashers
11:05 p.m. — 6600 block of GMD. Noise. After receiving a noise complaint, police found a group of juveniles partying. The home’s resident said that unwanted guests showed up while he was having friends over. An altercation occurred when he asked them to leave. The party crashers were gone when police arrived.

Crash call

11:47 a.m. — 700 block of Longboat Club Road. Property Damage. A man reported that an unknown male backed his vehicle into a light pole and knocked it over.
