Christ Church makes Santa’s nice list

Christ Church of Longboat Key, Presbyterian hosted a Christmas party for 75 of their reading buddies on Dec. 10.

Christ Church of Longboat Key, Presbyterian hosted a Christmas party for 75 of their reading buddies on Dec. 10. 

“It’s bringing together the families, their children, the reading buddies and the church all here in the spirit of Christmas.” — Event co-chairwoman Kit Torchia

The reading buddies are those in kindergarten through third grade who are students of the 13th Ave. Dream Center in Bradenton.

Every other week from November to April, Christ Church members mentor the students and read with them.
