The Republican Women's Club of Sarasota and the Sarasota Republican Club decided to host a combined holiday luncheon Friday, Dec. 4 at Michael's on East.

Members from both clubs shared tables for the meal and also enjoyed a performance by the barbershop quartet 'Afternoon Delight.'

This year for the holiday luncheon the clubs supported Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center by donating unwrapped toys.

Among the members was past Sarasota Republican Club president Chuck Volkert. He has started a collection of photos he's taken with Republican presidential candidates. So far Volkert has been photographed with Sen. Marco Rubio, Ben Carson, Sen. Ted Cruz and his most recent with Donald Trump.

"I get them when they come to town," Volkert said. "I would like to get a picture with all of them."
