Sarasota Young Professionals Group and S-One Holdings collaborated for the first annual Rock For a Cause event Saturday, Oct. 11 in downtown Sarasota. Palm Avenue closed down for vendors, activities and a stage, where six bands competed for $1,500 in prize money and $3,500 to donate to the music program of a school of their choice. Of the six bands, Seven Years Past took first place, donating their money to Riverview High School.
