+ Longboat Key Publix donates $500 in support of Selah Freedom run
Longboat Key Publix Manager Andy Lappin recently presented a $500 check to Selah Freedom for the upcoming 5K/10K Selah Freedom run. The event is planned for Oct. 18 and will include a run over the John Ringling Causeway that ends at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Center. For information, visit selahfreedom.com/selah-freedom-run.

+ Oceanview Publishing attends International Thriller Writers meeting
Longboat Key-based Oceanview Publishing attended the International Thriller Writers annual meeting in July, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Manhattan, N.Y.

The meeting drew approximately 1,000 attendees, including several Oceanview staffers and a dozen of its authors.

Oceanview sponsored a small cocktail party for its authors, during which author Lee Child stopped by to say hello, and co-sponsored a major cocktail party with ITW for all attendees before the annual banquet.
