Sheriff's Office to hold Law Enforcement Memorial Service

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office will host the 27th Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, at Faith Lutheran Church, 7750 Beneva Rd.

The Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Sarasota Police Department, Venice Police Department, North Port Police Department, Longboat Key Police Department, Florida Highway Patrol, Sarasota County Board of County Commissioners, the State Attorney’s Office and the Sarasota County Fire Department will participate in this memorial, which will recognize the men and women who serve and protect the community and those who have been killed in the line of duty in 2011.
