Jeannette Siler was a judge for the Iron Chef competition Saturday, Dec. 15, at the Potter Building. “I like tradition,†said Siler about what she looks for in a winning gingerbread house.

A Marina Jack gingerbread house created by students at Suncoast School for Innovative Studies.
The gingerbread house made by Sunrise Elementary School featured solar panels on the roof and a windmill.
Whole Foods’ entry
Montanna Williamson, 15, adds a candy cane accent to Charlotte Tech Center’s gingerbread house.
Women’s Exchange’s gingerbread house was made to look like their store. The roof featured red and green price tags from their store.
Pine View Sailing Team’s entry
Amanda Pajaro, 17, adds green icing to Charlotte Tech Center’s gingerbread house.
Alta Vista Elementary’s Kettle Club entry took first place in the Elementary category.

Charlotte Tech Center’s Montanna Williamson, 15, and Amanda Pajaro, 17, won first place in the Iron Chef competition Saturday, Dec. 15, at the Potter Building.
