Deals abound at cheerleading fundraiser

Lakewood Ranch High School cheerleaders will be raising money this weekend to support their training and other activities over the coming school year.

The squad will host the Lakewood Ranch High School Cheerleader Silent Auction from 10 a.m. to noon April 28, in the cafeteria at Lakewood Ranch High School, 5500 Lakewood Ranch Boulevard.

Silent auction items include Tampa Bay Rays' tickets, vacation rentals, gift cards and more.

Fifty percent of proceeds will go the the cheerleaders' accounts to help offset costs for summer camp expenses such as camp clothes, shoes and pom poms. The other 50% will offset costs for coaches going to camp, as well a competition and music fees, among other expenses.
