The John Cox Community Partner of the Year Award was presented to Dave Beesley of First Step: Addiction Recovery Program. Presenting the award was President of Halfacre Construction Company Jack Cox and President of Fishman and Associates C.J. Fishman.
Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County’s 2011 Hall of Fame Award winners: Colleen Cavanaugh, Jonathan Parks, Rob Sambursky, Thomas Orsini, Steve Harner, Dave Beesley, Jim Kuhlman and Barry Wolfson.

The Clyde Nixon Business Leadership Award was presented to Steve Harner owner of Crow’s Nest. The award was presented by Chair of EDC David Sessions and President, CEO, Director of Sun Hydraulics Corporation Allen Carlson.
The Entrepreneur Award was presented to Jim Kuhlman of Florida Shores Bank. The award was presented by CPA/Managing Shareholder Rob Lane of Kerkering, Barberio and Co.
The Innovation Award was presented to CEO Thomas Orsini for Rapid Pathogen Screening. With Orsini is Co-Founder Rob Sambursky. The award was presented by Ray Dowling, Area Manager/External Affairs for Florida Power and light.
The Creativity and Design Award was presented to architect Jonathan Parks. With Parks is senior designer, Chris Gallgher. The award was presented by Margaret Callihan, Chairman/President/CEO of SunTrust Bank Southwest Florida Region.
The Manufacturing Award was presented to CEO Barry Wolfson of Tervis. The award was presented by Mark Kennell, Suncoast Workforce board member.
