PHOTO GALLERY: Southside Elementary Brings its Dads to Lunch
First-grader Macy Meshad got Wendy’s and was enjoying a Frosty. When her dad Gavin was her age, he looked forward to walking down Orange from St. Martha’s to church because he got to leave school.
Isabella Chelekis is a fifth-grader and she is excited her mom is here because she loves her mom. Lisa Chelekis brought her Greek sandwiches, noodles, sparkling lemonade and a French chocolate dessert.
First-grader Sam Matuszak’s dad, Mark, brought Jersey Mike’s for lunch. Mark tries to come to Southside once a week because it makes his day to spend even 30 minutes with him.
Ezequiel Mochkovsky is first-grader who is very excited to eat with his dad Sebastian. He assumed his dad would bring him something yummy and healthy, and sure enough, his dad brought cooked chicken breast and soup.

Juan Villaveces is just as excited as his first-grade daughter Sophia for this opportunity, and he is glad to eat lunch with her because he didn’t have this opportunity when he was growing up.
Fourth-grader Emily Edwards is happy her friends can see her dad, Troy, at school with her because he is a “cool dad.â€
