Ladies in the University Park Women's club celebrated the arts at the season's opening luncheon and general meeting Oct. 12, at the Laurel Oaks Country Club.

Many of the club's upcoming activities will fall under the theme of "Celebrating the Arts."

The event included lunch, a speaker from the Sarasota Youth Orchestra and a live musical performance.
