WEEKEND BEST BET: Tribute to Heroes Memorial Day Parade

Lakewood Ranch Community Activities Corp. will host its annual Tribute to Heroes Memorial Day Parade beginning at 6 p.m., May 29, on Lakewood Ranch Main Street.

A brief ceremony will follow the parade. Then, beginning at around 7 p.m., guests can enjoy live music by Paper Airplanes and Muffin Men, beer and barbecue, face painting, a fire truck, balloons and more.

Attendees also can bring donations to support Manasota Operation Troop Support.
