+ Prudential Real Estate to open new Main Street office

The local Prudential Real Estate Companies, which include sister realty agencies Prudential Palms Realty and Prudential Lakewood Ranch Realty, announced the acquisition of Hunt/Realty Express on Main Street, in downtown Sarasota. The acquisition is Prudential’s seventh since it opened in 2002 in Sarasota.

“We are forging ahead with a growth plan that positions us as one of the region’s leading real-estate companies,” said Helen Sosso, president and CEO of Prudential Companies, in a prepared statement. “With the growth trend in Sarasota and the downtown marketplace, it’s essential to have a central location where the public can stop in and access the latest real-estate information.”

Prudential’s new Main Street location will reflect the real-estate industry’s shift toward online technologies, with on-site agents available to assist clients with online searches. The new office will have a grand opening in mid-2011.

+ FL Realtors Association recognizes local agents
