FIVE THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT: Eva Rey

1. BOOKWORM: Nearly everywhere Rey goes, she brings with her a book. Her favorite authors are Jane Austen and Stephen King.

2. CLOSET QUILTER: In the few spare moments Rey does have, she enjoys quilting. “I love quilts,” she says. “I think they are absolutely gorgeous. I try my hand on that whenever I get a moment.”

3. ALWAYS WELCOME: When it comes to work, Rey said she has an open-door policy and is available to meet with residents and board members alike.

4. TASTE TEST: Rey says she doesn’t have a favorite food. “I like them all,” she says, laughing.

5. TRUE CALLING: Rey considers herself a “late bloomer” as she didn’t find her chosen career path until later in life. With a grown son, she says now is the time to push toward her dreams. “I have a lot to contribute and I have a lot I still want to do,” she says.
