Manatee sheriff's office earns accolades for campaign

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office earned a top finish in the Florida Department of Transportation’s recent Click It Or Ticket Challenge.

The sheriff’s office took first place out of its tier of more than 240 agencies in the Click It or Ticket Award competition, earning it a change to win a 2011 Dodge Challenger R/T. A Manatee Sheriff’s Office representative drew the winning key and won the car, which will be used specifically for traffic enforcement.

The Manatee Sheriff’s Office also placed second out of 100 agencies in the Law Enforcement Challenge. It also took second in the Motor Unit Challenge Award competition.
