8th Annual Caring Hearts Luncheon honoring Paul Welch

This annual luncheon benefits First Step's Mothers & Infants program. Mothers & Infants is a residential substance abuse treatment program for pregnant women. While in program, women receive counseling for their addiction, as well as parenting, nutrition and life-skills classes, GED tutoring (if not in possession of a high school diploma), work-force readiness training and linkage to many community services. The luncheon has an annual honoree, The Caring Heart of the Year, a client or alumnae speaker to discuss how the program has impacted her life, silent auction and raffle.
