Sales spike to 18 during first week of February

A total of 18 sales were recorded on Longboat, Lido, St. Armands and Bird keys at the Sarasota and Manatee county courthouses during the week of Jan. 31 through Feb. 4 — a total that surpassed every other week thus far in 2011. Of the week’s sales, 13 occurred on Longboat Key, including five in Manatee County; three took place on Lido Key; and one each took place on St. Armands Key and Bird Key. Two of the week’s sales exceeded $1 million.

La Firenza
Salvador Sr. and Jean Campisi, of Lakeland, sold Unit S-202 at La Firenza, 4125 Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Paul Steinwachs, 4561 Gulf of Mexico Drive, for $2,635,000. Built in 2007, the 3,582-square-foot unit has three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. It last sold for $2,912,600 in October 2007.

Water Club
Michael and Ellen Sherrow, of New York City, sold Unit 1004 at the Water Club II, 1281 Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Frances Fergusson for $1.4 million. Built in 1999, the 3,054-square-foot unit has three bedrooms and four bathrooms. It last sold for $1,297,600 in November 1999.

360 North Condominium
Wanda Saine, of Richmond, Va., sold Unit 1 at 360 North Condominium, 260 North Shore Road, to Nicholas and Sandra Verola, of Charlton, N.Y., for $950,000. Built in 1982, the 3,077-square-foot unit has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. It last sold for $662,500 in April 1994.

Country Club Shores
Noel and Toby Siegel, of Sarasota, sold their home at 597 Cutter Lane, in Country Club Shores Unit II, to KDL Investments LLC, an Indiana limited-liability company with an Indianapolis address, for $825,000. Built in 1963, the 1,963-square-foot home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a swimming pool. It last sold for $585,000 in August 1997.

Seaplace
The corporation 933777 Ontario Inc., which has a Toronto address, sold Unit No. M2-112B at 1945 Gulf of Mexico Drive in the 461-unit Seaplace to Gestion Danielle Luc Inc., a Canadian corporation, and Les Placements Bussey, a Canadian corporation with a Saint-Hippolyte, Quebec, address, for $525,000. Built in 1978, the 1,532-square-foot unit has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It last sold for $157,143 in May 1991.

Whitney Beach condominium
Joan Dunn, of Naples, sold Unit 310 in the Gulfside Whitney Beach condominium, 6701 Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Markus and Jean Schulz, of Fort Gratiot, Mich., for $525,000. Built in 1971, the 1,441-square-foot unit has three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Sleepy Lagoon
John and Kelly Bollito, of Orland Park, Ill., sold their home at 536 Lyons Lane, in the Sleepy Lagoon subdivision, to Istvan Milom for $455,000. Built in 1989, the 1,965-square-foot home has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It last sold for $511,000 in October 2002.

Westchester Apartments
Robert and Dorothy Evans, 700 John Ringling Blvd., sold Unit No. 203 at the 72-unit Westchester Apartments, 4805 Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Joan Bowden, of Thornhill, Ontario, for $450,000. Built in 1970, the 1,393-square-foot unit has two bedrooms and one bathroom.

Sea Horse Beach Resort
Michael Gallatin, of Annapolis, Md., sold Unit 252 of the 41-unit Sea Horse Beach Resort, 3453 Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Sweetlove LLC, a Michigan limited-liability company with a Brooklyn, Mich., address, for $300,000. Built in 1960, the 832-square-foot unit has two bedrooms. It last sold for $755,000 in July 2005.

Longboat Harbour Towers
Warren Duff, of St. Louis, sold Unit 703 at the 73-unit Longboat Harbour Towers, 4401 Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Suzanne Bowen, of Ontario, for $235,000. Built in 1972, the 725-square-foot unit has one bedroom and one bathroom. It last sold for $92,000 in January 1989.

Beach Harbor Club
K. Peter and Marjo Bowers, of Yorba Linda, Calif., sold Unit A-306 at 3802 Gulf of Mexico Drive in the 133-unit Beach Harbor Club to James Knab and Jamie Worrall, as joint tenants with rights of survivorship, of Cincinnati, for $220,000. Built in 1970, the 1,007-square-foot unit has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It sold for $135,000 in December 1998.

The Diplomat
Jack and Donna Wagaman and Steven and Marianne Wagaman, all of Omaha, Neb., sold Unit No. 221 of the 55-unit Diplomat, 3155 Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Gerard Sequeira and Charles Magalhaes, of Scarborough, Ontario, for $217,500. Built in 1960, the 680-square-foot unit has one bedroom and one bathroom. It last sold for $140,000 in May 2000.

Boathouse on Longboat
Stannard Allen, of Sarasota, sold boat slip Unit 2131 at the 194-slip Boathouse on Longboat, 408 Gulf of Mexico Drive, to George and Ryan Fetherstone, of Tampa, for $21,000. It last sold for $14,200 in March 1988.

Bird Key
David and Donna Wollert, of Henderson, Nev., sold the home at 323 Bob White Way to Alexander and Phyllis Wilhelm for $750,000. Built in 1975, the 2,708-square-foot home has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a swimming pool. It last sold for $655,000 in April 2009.

Lido Beach Club
Theodore and Margaret Boehne, of Edina, Minn., sold Unit 1207 at Lido Beach Club, 1212 Benjamin Franklin Drive, to Samuel and Anna Wex for $575,000. Built in 1974, the 1,421-square-foot unit has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It last sold for $850,000 in May 2006.

Lido Surf and Sand
Robert and Belinda Metelko, of Lakewood Ranch, sold Unit No. 501 at Lido Surf and Sand, 1100 Benjamin Franklin Drive, to Craig and Lynn Meredith, of Dartsmouth, Nova Scotia, for $530,000. Built in 1976, the 1,456-square-foot unit has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It last sold for $295,000 in March
1998.

Lido Shores
Robert Menzies, of Pointe-Clare, Canada, sold Unit 501 at Lido Shores condominium, 350 S. Polk Drive, to Victoria Johnston-Wilkins, of Cincinnati, for $342,500. Built in 1977, the 1,036-square-foot unit has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It last sold for $550,000 in July 2006.

St. Armands
Tuck Realty LLC, a Florida limited-liability company with an Exeter, N.H., address, sold the home at 128 S. Washington Drive in the St. Armands Division of the John Ringling Estates to Nancy Harbour, of Toronto, for $440,000. Built in 1946, the 1,011-square-foot home has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It last sold for $321,500 in March 2010.
