Joshua, right, the Rev. Edward Pick’s clumber spaniel, has a new friend. St. Mary, Star of the Sea, Catholic Church parishioner Mike Stone, a snowbird from Short Hills, N.J., has a 1-year-old clumber spaniel named Maggie. The dogs met recently on a walk and have become buddies, which is not unexpected, because the breed is known for its loving behavior.
