This year, Planned Parenthood offers the second annual installment of its popular 'Safe Sex' annual fund- and friend-raiser. Safe Sex: Halloween Bash, which will be held at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall (777 N. Tamiami Tr., Sarasota) from 9:00pm-1:00am, will feature an open bar, late-night bites by Michael's On East, a DJ and dancing, costume contests and shocking surprises. Van Wezel's Grand Foyer will be transformed ... into what? Well, that will be a surprise. Attendees are invited to wear a costume ... or don't. Proceeds from the event will benefit the family planning and prevention programs of Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida, Inc., a 501(c)3 organization.
