Commission welcomes new members

Manatee County commissioners will welcome two new members to their posts during the board’s regularly scheduled meeting Nov. 16.

Taking the District 2 seat is Michael Gallen, who beat out incumbent Gwen Brown, and taking the District 4 spot is Cascades resident Robin DiSabatino, who is replacing the retiring Ron Getman.

Carol Whitmore, who retained her at-large seat, also will take the oath.

Board members are set to discuss the design of the Fort Hamer Bridge at 1:30 p.m.
