Joseph Stuart scored a neck shot in overtime to lead Wildcat to an 8-7 victory against Tito’s in the U.S. Polo Association’s Robert A. Uihlein Memorial Tournament, presented by Fidelity Investments, March 30, at the Sarasota Polo Club.

The two teams traded goals early in the game with Wildcat clinging to a 4-3 halftime lead.

Jason Crowder scored a pair of goals in the fourth chukker to give Tito’s a 5-4 lead. Each team added a goal in the fifth chukker, before Stuart scored in the final minute of regulation to send the game into overtime.

Stuart and Chris Nevins each had three goals to power Wildcat. Crowder scored six goals to lead the way for Tito’s.

Crowder was named the Most Valuable Player. Stuart received the Best Playing Pony award for his horse Summer’s performance in the sixth chukker.

Teams return to action at 1 p.m. April 6 in the The Observer Group Cup, which will mark the end of the 2013-14 polo season.

WORD PLAY: Double-Chukkered — means the same horse can be played again in a later chukker.
