It's the weekend, and you deserve a break. Take a look at our best bets for the weekend:

  • Reimagining Georgia O'Keeffe and Alfred Stieglitz — takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at Ice House Artspace. This 10-day art exhibition navigates the work of Georgia O'Keeffe and Alfred Stieglitz. Cost is $25
  • Geri X, Lushbudget, Austin Miller and Lesa S — takes place at 9 p.m. Friday, Feb.  7,  at Growler's Pub. Catch for great acts for free at one of our favorite beer bars in town. Free.
  • Megan Jean and the Klay Family Band with Physical Plant — takes place at 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Shamrock. Road warriors, Megan Jean and the Klay Family Band, bring their gypsie-tinged Americana sound to Sarasota with local outfit, Physical Plant, on psychedelic harmony duty. Free.
  • E Man's 25th Birthday Party — takes place at 10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Darwin's on 4th. Local emcee, rapper, host and all-around local personality, E Man, will be celebrating his 25th birthday in style with a party featuring food and drink specials and music by DJ Imminent. Free.
  • Bradentucky Bombers Season Opener — takes place at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, at Astro Skate (3611 3rd St. W., Bradenton) Come see Manatee County's original roller derby team take on the Jacksonville Rollergirls in the first bout of their eighth season. $10 in advance. $12 at the door. Tailgating at 6 p.m. with free beer. Halftime show by Hail Dale. While you're at it, watch them take down one of our reporters
