WEEKEND BEST BET: Music on Main

First Friday festivities will take East County back in time on a musical journey.

From 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 5, Music on Main will feature songs by Renegade — a cover band that performs songs from the 70s and 80s.

Admission is free and proceeds from the event benefit local nonprofit organization Manasota BUDS. Chairs, blankets and leashed pets welcome.

Outside food and drinks are prohibited as well as coolers.
