WEEKEND BEST BET: Harvey Milk Festival

Celebrate Sarasota’s fifth annual Harvey Milk Festival Saturday and Sunday.

The 2014 Harvey Milk Art Gallery will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. tonight, at Circus City Architectural Salvage, 1001 Central Ave.

This year, the gallery theme is “Love Without Limits” and will feature live music performances by Kristopher James and RaeF.

The music festival portion of the Harvey Milk Festival will take place from 2:30 p.m. to midnight Saturday, followed by the official HMF after-party from midnight to 2 a.m. at Throb Night Club.

The music festival will be held at Five Points Park on North Pineapple Avenue and features headliners Ghost Beach, Meteoreyes and Slow Magic.

Both the art and music festivals are free and open to the public.
