Store Around the Corner: Cannons Marina

When it comes to experience, nobody knows more about the boating industry than Cannons Marina owner David Miller.

“I started working in the family business when I was six years old, peeling shrimp for fishing bait,” recalls Miller. “I grew up on the water.”

Miller’s father started the business in 1955, and 55 years later Cannons is still the only family-owned marina in the area offering sales, rentals and service.

Cannons Marina carries Grady White boats, Scout boats and Yamaha upward motors for sale and rental. The marina also takes care of repairs at their Yamaha Five-Star Certified service center.

Cannons’ dedication to customer service has won them the Grady White Admiral’s Circle Award for nine consecutive years.

“Customer service is an extremely important part of our business,” says Miller.
