The Florida School Boards Association recently recognized the Manatee County School District’s leadership team for achieving “Master Board” status.

Team members include school board members and Superintendent Tim McGonegal.

The Master Board program is a voluntary program designed and sponsored by the Florida School Boards Association. Its training curriculum is designed to strengthen the ability of a district's leadership teams to work effectively, efficiently and collectively as a governance group while keeping focused on factors that contribute to student success.

Manatee’s leadership team completed 22 hours of learning activities and onsite workshops to earn the honor.
