Just before work begins on two U.S. 41 roundabouts at 10th and 14th streets, the Florida Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting on a third U.S. 41 roundabout at Fruitville Road.

On Oct. 26, FDOT plans to host a public hearing at City Hall regarding the proposed roundabout. Following an open house, state officials will present information about the scope and impact of the project.

FDOT will collect public input for the project's plans. A design is not yet finished, though city officials believe construction on the roundabout could begin as early as spring if it gains the necessary approvals. The roundabout would be built in conjunction with the development of the Quay site.

Information regarding the roundabout project is available on the FDOT website. Residents can also view study documents at Selby Public Library through Nov. 6.
