Ranch mascot name to be revealed tonight

Lakewood Ranch's long-legged mascot will officially be named tonight.

The sandhill crane picked to represent the Ranch will receive his or her name, which was picked by a four-person committee this week. 

At 7 p.m. Dec. 5 during Music on Main on Lakewood Ranch Main Street, the mascot will be present, along with the local resident who named it.
