Olympic figure skaters to visit local ice rink

For two years, two now-members of the U.S. Olympic Figure Skating Team have trained at an area ice rink. This visit, however, will be different, as Felicia Zhang and Nathan Bartholomay, along with their coach Jim Peterson, head to Ellenton Ice for a skating event and meet-and-greet with interested patrons.

The duo will skate for an hour, from 1:10 to 2:10 p.m., with an opportunity for questions to follow, from 2:15 to 3:35 p.m Jan. 22, at 5309 29th St. E., Ellenton. Attendees should arrive by 1 p.m.

Zhang and Bartholomay continue to prepare for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, which will run from Feb. 7 through Feb. 23.
