Robert Neher, 92, of Longboat Key, died Jan. 8.
Born Oct. 5, 1921, in Chicago, he was owner and president of Illinois Metal Fabrication Inc. He lived in Chicago until he retired to Longboat Key 36 years ago.
Mr. Neher was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Louise; daughter, Marlow Geuin; and stepchildren Tom Lemmons and Jill Beaumont.
