Narcotics detectives arrest two Italian citizens in a grow house bust

Narcotics detectives with the Special Investigations Bureau performed a search warrant at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at 4153 Honolulu Drive. Detectives discovered cannabis plants in two rooms, as well as lighting fixtures, fans, irrigation equipment and chemicals used for cultivation.

Deputies confiscated 32 mature cannabis plants weighing almost 119 pounds.

Salvatore Piccolo, 44, and Paolo Pellegrini, 52, are charged with Cultivation of Cannabis and Trafficking in Cannabis. Immigration and Customs Enforcement was notified. A detainer has been placed on the suspects pending further investigation.
