Shoppers on St. Armands Circle experienced a little bit of Times Square on Wednesday.

The iconic street performer dubbed the "Naked Cowboy" was meandering about town. Clad in only boots, briefs and a cowboy hat, Robert Burck, known as the "Naked Cowboy" was down on a six-day trip visiting Bradenton Beach, Sarasota, Siesta Key and Miami.

"It's a little cooler than I wanted it to be, but it's a little reprieve from 18 degrees in New York," Burck said.

Burck has been visiting the area for about 16 years and made sure to stop in to visit his old friends and former Lynches Pub & Grub founders Chris and Ethna Lynch.

He also made his way to Downtown Sarasota where diners and residents took up the opportunity to take a photo with him. Evie's Tavern on Main bartender Kira Brown was in the middle of the lunch rush when customers started shouting that there was a man in his underwear across the street.

"I ran out there and he was cradling an older woman," Brown said. "I just had to have his picture."
